About Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness based therapy with a synthesis of Western psychology, neuroscience and Buddhist understanding which has been taught and developed by Maura and Franklyn Sills of the Karuna Institute over many years. In Core Process work the therapist and client are engaged in a healing process working with the awareness of the body, mind and feelings to move towards a greater sense of underlying wholeness.

Psychotherapy can help individuals who experience a variety of issues from anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, phobias, lack of confidence, family or relationships issues or major life transitions.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

New clients

For new clients, the first session is free of charge and lasts 30 minutes.  This is aimed at discussing what the issues may be and getting a sense of whether we can work together and how therapy may benefit you. We would then review progress after an initial six week period and at agreed intervals thereafter.

Core Process Psychotherapy is a weekly therapy and most effective long term to achieve deeper healing and lasting change.
